YantraPlacement & use
Personal planetary yantraPooja space, facing E/NE; energise on the planet’s weekday
Shree YantraUniversal abundance — suits every chart
Numbered (e.g. Shani 3×3)Magic-square grids summing per the planet’s number

Formula & methodology

Formula: Recommended yantra = yantra of the planet ruling your Moon sign (rashi lord)

  1. Enter birth date, time and place.
  2. The Moon’s sidereal sign and its lord are computed.
  3. The lord’s planetary yantra is recommended, with the Shree Yantra noted as the universal alternative.

Worked example — 1 Jan 1990, 06:00, Delhi: Kumbha Moon ruled by Saturn gives the Shani Yantra; energise it on a Saturday, and the Shree Yantra remains a valid all-purpose choice.

Frequently asked questions

What is a yantra?
A geometric diagram used as a meditation and worship support — the visual counterpart of a mantra. Planetary yantras encode a graha’s energy, often as a magic-square grid whose rows sum to the planet’s number.
How is my yantra selected?
By your Moon-sign lord: Saturn-ruled Kumbha gets the Shani Yantra, Jupiter-ruled Dhanu the Guru Yantra. This pairs the yantra with the planet most shaping your mind and daily life.
Where should I place a yantra?
In the pooja or meditation space at eye level, ideally facing East or North-East, kept clean and treated with the same respect as a deity image.
How is a yantra energised (pran pratishtha)?
Traditionally on the planet’s weekday: cleanse with water, offer flowers/incense, and chant the planet’s mantra 108 times while gazing at the centre (bindu). Repeat the mantra practice regularly.
Is the Shree Yantra better than a planetary yantra?
They serve differently: the Shree Yantra is the universal abundance diagram suitable for everyone; a planetary yantra targets one graha’s themes. Many keep the Shree Yantra centrally and add their personal planet’s yantra.
