CalcaTools (“we”, “our”, “us”) is operated by CalcaTools. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when you use calcatools.com and any of our 400+ calculators and tools (the “Service”).

1. Privacy at a glance

  • Calculator inputs never leave your browser. Every formula runs client-side in JavaScript. We do not transmit, log, or store the numbers, dates, or text you type into a tool.
  • We do not sell personal information to anyone, at any time, for any reason.
  • We do not require sign-up to use any calculator on this site.
  • We honour your browser’s Do-Not-Track / Global Privacy Control signal for analytics where technically possible.

2. What we collect

2.1 Information you give us

The only information you actively share with us is what you choose to send when you contact us by email (your name, email address, and the body of your message). We keep that message only as long as it takes to respond, then delete it.

2.2 Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider records standard server logs for every request: anonymised IP address, user-agent string, referring URL, timestamp, and the requested page. These logs are used for security, abuse prevention, and performance debugging, and are rotated/deleted within 30 days.

2.3 Calculator inputs

None of the inputs you type into any calculator on this site are sent to our servers. They are processed entirely in your browser. If you reload the page or close the tab, the inputs are gone.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies (for example, to remember your preferred unit system or to keep the mobile menu state). We also use:

  • Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled, to understand which tools are useful and how the site is performing in aggregate.
  • Google AdSense to display advertisements that help keep this site free.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will continue to work normally; some preferences may simply not persist between visits.

4. Google AdSense and third-party advertising

We participate in the Google AdSense program. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site and other sites on the internet. This includes the DoubleClick DART cookie.

We do not control the cookies set by Google or other ad partners. Each third party operates under its own privacy policy.

5. Analytics

6. Children’s privacy

CalcaTools is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, port, or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Because we collect virtually no personal information, in practice most of these rights are automatically satisfied. To exercise any right, email hello@calcatools.com with the subject line “Privacy request” and we will respond within 30 days.

8. International transfers

Our servers and analytics provider are located in the United States. By using the site, you understand that the limited data described above is processed in the U.S.

9. Security

We protect the small amount of data we collect with TLS in transit, restricted-access hosting, and a 30-day log-rotation policy. Because calculator inputs never leave your browser, the most sensitive information you handle on this site is never written to our infrastructure.

10. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted at the top of the page for at least 30 days.
