A square root asks which number times itself gives 625 (25 × 25 = 625). A cube root asks which number cubed gives 27 (3 × 3 × 3 = 27).

Result: √625 = 25 and ∛27 = 3.

What this means: Roots are the inverse of powers, so √625 = 625^(1/2) and ∛27 = 27^(1/3).
