Where exact rational arithmetic matters — fractions, factorials, simplification — we use a dedicated BigNumber path so 1/3 + 1/6 returns ½, not 0.49999.

Formula & methodology
Formula: Cube (ft³) = (L × W × H in inches) ÷ 1728
- Measure the loaded pallet length, width and height in inches (include the pallet).
- Multiply length × width × height for cubic inches.
- Divide cubic inches by 1728 to convert to cubic feet.
- Use the cubic-foot figure for freight class and the cubic-metre figure for container planning.
Example: a 48 × 40 × 50 in load is 96,000 in³ = 55.56 ft³ (about 1.57 m³) of shipping cube.
