Tasbih / Dhikr Counter

Tip: press the spacebar to count on desktop. Your count is saved on this device.
The Prophet ﷺ taught: SubhanAllah 33×, Alhamdulillah 33× and Allahu Akbar 34× after every prayer (Muslim 596). Counting on fingers or a counter are both fine.
A clean digital tasbih for focused dhikr: choose what you are reciting, set a cycle target of 33, 99 or 100, and tap the circle — or press the spacebar on desktop — once per dhikr. The counter vibrates on phones when a cycle completes, tracks finished cycles and lifetime totals, and saves everything locally so your count survives page reloads. Nothing is sent to any server.
The after-prayer sunnah is the natural starting point: SubhanAllah 33×, Alhamdulillah 33×, Allahu Akbar 34× — “his sins are forgiven even if they are like the foam of the sea” (Muslim 597). For istighfar, set the target to 100: the Prophet ﷺ sought forgiveness a hundred times a day (Muslim 2702).

mosque Calculated to Shariah-compliant formulas
Every Islamic calculator on CalcaTools uses formulas from recognised Shariah authorities — the Hilal Committee's Hijri conversion tables, the MWL/ISNA/Umm al-Qura prayer-time methods, the four-school consensus for Zakat Nisab, and the Faraid distribution rules from classical fiqh. The exact authority is cited on every tool page.
menu_book Sunni & Shia rules side by side
For tools where the calculation differs between schools (Faraid inheritance, certain Zakat triggers, prayer-time conventions), we surface the choice as a selector and document the difference in the methodology block. Pick the school that matches your tradition — the answer adjusts.
savings Zakat with the live Nisab
Zakat tools fetch the current spot gold/silver price (or let you enter your local rate) so the Nisab threshold reflects today's value, not a stale figure from last year. The 2.5% rate is the standard hawl-based calculation; agricultural Zakat (1/10 or 1/20) is available on the dedicated Ushr calculator.
verified For guidance, not a fatwa
These calculators give you the number — they do not give a fatwa. For complex personal situations (inheritance with revoked rights, mixed-asset Zakat, late prayer makeup rules), please confirm with a qualified scholar in your tradition. We're here to help with the arithmetic, not to replace your local imam.

Formula & methodology
Formula: Cycle complete when count reaches target (33, 99 or 100); totals persist on your device
- Choose the dhikr and a cycle target (33 for the after-salah tasbih, 99, 100, or unlimited).
- Tap the big circle — or press the spacebar on desktop — once per dhikr.
- The counter completes a cycle at the target, vibrates on mobile, and keeps your running totals saved on the device.
Worked example: the after-salah sunnah is SubhanAllah 33×, Alhamdulillah 33×, Allahu Akbar 34× — “sins are forgiven even if like the foam of the sea” (Muslim 597). One hundred taps at a 33-target completes 3 full cycles with 1 extra count showing.
