Formula: Months = years × 12; Years = months ÷ 12
- Multiply years by 12 — exact by definition, including decimals.
- For months → years, divide by 12.
- Weeks and days use the average Gregorian year (365.25 days, 52.1775 weeks).
Worked example: 2.5 years × 12 = 30 months (2 y 6 m), about 130.4 weeks or 913 days. Reversed: 18 months ÷ 12 = 1.5 years.
