Let’s go back to our example man. His BMR is 1,770. He works at a desk but lifts weights three times a week. He’s probably “lightly active” at least, or “moderately active” at most. So:
- If lightly active: 1,770 × 1.375 = 2,434 kcal/day
- If moderately active: 1,770 × 1.55 = 2,744 kcal/day

The plain truth: TDEE is a guess, not a perfect measure
